When Walking Together Matters More Than Running Alone
A few weeks ago, at Odders, we kicked off a challenge that has us truly excited: a wellness initiative where, together, we aim to cover 2,700 kilometers.
But it’s not just a number or a symbolic destination (hello, Warsaw!). It’s so much more. It’s a reminder that great achievements aren’t reached by sprinting alone, but by moving forward together—step by step—with a shared purpose.
At Odders, our mission has always been to create magical experiences, and this challenge is a reflection of that.
We want every kilometer we log to not only bring us closer to Warsaw but also closer to each other. Because, in the end, what drives us isn’t just exercise—it’s the feeling of being part of something bigger. A team. A shared vision. A group of people who, even when separated by miles, are connected by something meaningful.
Reconnecting in a World That Often Pulls Us Apart
We live in a time when remote work, screens, and packed schedules can leave us feeling… disconnected. Sometimes, between emails and meetings, we forget what truly matters: that we’re a team, that we share laughs, challenges, and dreams. This challenge has given us the perfect excuse to reconnect. To share that sunset photo from our walk in the group chat, to laugh about how hard it is to get off the couch some days, to cheer each other on when someone says, “I just can’t today.”
And honestly, it’s amazing to see how something as simple as moving together can reignite that sense of community. It reminds us that even though we might be in different cities, countries, or even continents—we’re part of the same thing. That our vision at Odders—create, connect, grow—isn’t just a slide in a presentation. It’s something we live. Something we feel.
A Challenge That Makes Us Feel Alive
Everyone contributes what they can: some walk their dog at dawn, others go cycling at sunset, some skate through the park, or simply take a couple more laps around the block. It doesn’t matter how you do it—just that you do. Because this isn’t about competing, or being the fastest, or going the farthest. It’s about adding up. Making every step, every pedal, every stride count for the team.
And how beautiful it is to see how every effort, no matter how small, becomes something big when we share it. It’s as if every kilometer we log in the app says, “Hey, we’re doing this together!”
At Odders, we always say that magic starts from within. And this challenge proves it. It’s not just about taking care of our physical health (which, of course, matters). It’s about taking care of ourselves as a team. Celebrating the small victories, like when someone who’s never run before decides to give it a try. Supporting each other, like when we swap tips to stay motivated. Laughing together, because let’s be honest—we’ve all had that day when just “going for a walk” feels like climbing Everest.
This challenge reminds us that every step matters. That every person matters. That together, we can go so much farther than we ever imagined.
A Team That Moves Is a Team That Grows
More than half of our team has already joined in, and that’s one of the most exciting parts.
Some wake up early to walk before the day gets hectic. Others dust off their bikes on weekends and explore new trails. Some take quick strolls between meetings to clear their minds. And every kilometer we add is a reminder that we’re in this together.
We’ve got a month to go. 2,700 kilometers to cover. Will we make it to Warsaw?
I’m sure we will.
Because when you share a purpose, the journey not only feels shorter—it becomes way more fun.
And in the end, what we take away isn’t just the goal achieved, but the laughs, the stories, and the feeling that—together—we can do anything.
So, what do you say—will you add your kilometers to the count?
Because when you move, the team moves forward.
And that, believe me, is pure magic.
